Our Mission

We exist to bring clarity and conviction to small business acquisitions. Buyers need more than another report; they need a partner who filters out distractions, rigorously tests assumptions, and provides a clear answer: move forward or walk away.

What We Deliver

Noris Advisory works with serious buyers to evaluate small business acquisitions with both speed and rigor. We concentrate on the questions that influence outcomes after closing: customer retention, operational risk, competitive position, and the levers that drive growth. Every engagement concludes with a definitive recommendation, supported by evidence and reasoning.

Our Founder

Brian Root

Founder, Noris Advisory

I have spent my career helping organizations make high-stakes decisions in the face of uncertainty. My experience spans product and strategy leadership at Amazon, Walmart, and venture-backed fintech and insurtech companies focused on the SMB market. My work covers diligence analysis, financial modeling, go-to-market design, and organizational turnaround, always tying vision to execution.

I hold an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler with concentrations in entrepreneurship, consulting, supply chain management, and marketing. Earlier in my career, I specialized in building scalable systems, overseeing P&Ls, launching business lines, and improving operational efficiency across global teams.

How We Differ

Operator’s Perspective: Our team has been accountable for business performance and understands the realities beyond analysis.

Definitive Guidance: Each recommendation is evidence-based and actionable.

Structured and Efficient: Our process fits the timeline of deals, applying depth and focus where it counts.

Our Commitment

We take on a limited number of buyers each quarter so every engagement receives the attention it requires. Clients come to us when they need clarity and conviction during moments where distractions are common and decisions carry weight.
